I have come across One Pretty Cool Little Find
 and one that holds Rancho Cucamonga's
Own Quakes as a Neat Little 'Star' for our City!

            A Neat Little Book That Ties Family and Vacations
and the great American Past Time together... but this one has a bonus too! Give a little 'gem' of a family book a tie to our very
own city and you have a certain pride ... a motivating factor
for our children, a source of education one doesn't find in a mere textbook or in the classroom. Get your kids involved in the city, planning, vacations, baseball facts and fun things to
know that perhaps their teacher doesn't... (a great learning tool
is that super cool knowledge that a child can spring on a teacher in hopes of stumping them from time to time.. building a super motivation for school and school work that may be in short supply for some kids). Check this out;

Fodor's Baseball Vacations:
Great Family Trips to Minor League and
Classic Major League Ballparks Across America
Manufactured by Fodors, Margaret Enge
Paperback - 3RD, March 2002

From the Publisher:  "Want to know which team has the funniest mascot? Which ballpark has the best contests for fans? Which stadiums serve loganberry juice, buck-a-bone BBQ, and buttermilk pie? And what you can do before and after the game? (How about whitewater rafting, roller coastering, listening to live country music, or riding the steepest passenger railway in the world?) The authors cover the Baseball Hall of Fame and travel from the Cape Cod Leagues to California's Rancho Cucamonga. The fresh, lively anecdotes and compelling baseball lore that fill every chapter are sure to amuse -- even if the family favorite doesn't win. The Adams family, parents, and children tell all: How to get foul balls, collect autographs, and save money on tickets; family-friendly diners, cafeterias, and restaurants; where the visiting team stays; where to sit, where to park, what to eat; plus the best giveaways and contests."

What fun - don't you think?

SALSITAS MEXICAN GRILL
10540 BASELINE RD # A ALTA LOMA CA
(909) 948-1158

The restaurant has been around our city for years and it's a gem! It sits on the north/east corner of Baseline and Haven and is really a place you'll want to try if you love Mexican food. Unlike a chain Mexican restaurant, this one is a small, much more authentic place. They are not fancy, but they ARE good. You can watch them make their homemade tortillas right when you walk through the door. They are always fresh, soft and warm - yummy! Their dishes are BIG and the food is excellent, (well worth it). The prices are incredibly low, (you'd be surprised)... and if you are a senior, you'll expect deep discounts every day of the week on al their entrees! The "hole-in-the-wall" in Rancho that's served up satisfaction for years!
