If you are or know of someone who is retired and / or disabled, you must read this!

It is hard to conceive what huge savings can be to the SSI Retirement and disability program if the people who got it, had it directly deposited into their bank accounts! think about it - With each check mailed out and sent through the  United State's Post Office there are costs for: checks, envelopes, the typical insert requesting people direct deposit, processing them with the machines/upkeep/parts and the man power for sorting and batching, stamp machine/env. licker, then you have the delivery costs - the postage. Since they are batched well, it's a savings of the regular stamp, but to lowball it we'll tally it up at 80 - 90 cents each for the whole lowball ball of wax. Now take my state where there are tons of people and say just a few of those on disability and retirement are counted, (for low ball math). Our under by far number will be 50 thousand. at 85 cents each.... that's 42,500 in postage, handling, costs etc., $42,000!  (and a lot more here in ca get the checks each month!  a lot! Now take the 42500 bucks x 12 months .... $510,000 plus interest each year saved with a mere 50,000 out going checks! I know we spend over a million here, how about your place? Tell someone who gets them that they can get the check a day early, they don't need to worry about it getting lost in the mail or worry about driving it over to the bank to deposit it and all that mess! Then let them know about the huge savings to the system and that their contribution by signing up saves SSI for them and those in the future, no prob!
