Beginners Tips:
The dealer MUST try to reach 21 if the dealer is under 17! Don't assume that the dealer will stop automatically at 16, because he won't / can't (if he has a six showing - we assume that he has a face card or ten hidden) - For example, and you have a
15, do not think he won, in fact you more than likely did. Since he must draw until he gets to 17 or more, he will (odds have it) draw a 10 or face card, in which case he busted and you won! Always assume the dealer has a ten hidden, in real poker... and do not try to hit 21 reading ,just try to get as
close as possible - and do not hit too much, close with a dealer bust is better than busting yourself.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - A beverage server at an
Atlantic City hotel casino 'got the biggest tip of her
life' after winning $523,550.47 while playing a
Jeopardy! progressive slot machine at Harrah's
Atlantic City.
Maria L. Cruz, 41, was playing the 25-cent slot
machine for approximately 15 minutes before
hitting the $523,550.47 jackpot. The Galloway
Township, New Jersey, resident, who lined up three Jeopardy! jackpot
symbols, will receive $26,177.52 for the next 20 years.
A Harrah's Total Rewards Platinum player, Maria was visiting the property
with a friend and invested approximately $20 in the machine. "When I
realized that I won, we started to jump up and down," Maria said. "I usually
play nickel slots; however, a friend of mine recently won on a Jeopardy!
machine and so I thought that I should give it a try," she added.
The lucky winner who plans to put a down payment on a house, will share
the winnings with her family including her 20-year-old daughter and
one-year-old granddaughter. In addition, she plans to help pay for the

Bartenders get $1-$2 a round depending on service.
Cocktail waitresses $1-$10 depending on service. Bartenders/cocktail
waitresses gather more for larger groups.
It is expected for winners to tip keno
runners .
If you are given special attention by change personnel, a 10% tip should be
appreciated.
Concierges
receive $1-$10 is the range depending on the service they provided. If you are
winning, you can place a bet for a dealer or offer them a chip - of course
money is always accepted.
Bellman usual
receive $1-$2 a bag. A little "extra" for good service or a lot of
bags. If the bell captain and his staff do added services, giving an extra
$5.00 at the desk can pledge first-rate service. Doormen receive $1-$2 a bag
for $1 for hailing a cab.
Hotel maids
expect $2 a day at the end of the visit; pool attendants get a least $1 for
towels, pads, lounges, etc. For food servers the standard 15% to 20% rule
applies. Buffet servers receive $1 a person, and room service receives 15-20%
but make sure this isn't added to the bill.
Many showrooms sell
selectseating tickets,
which may include the tip. In resort showrooms that accept restaurant-style
reservations and sitting room, it is customary to tip the maitre d' $5 to $20
to get better seating. Showroom servers get $5 to $10 for a part of two to
four at a cocktails-only show, or 15% to 20% of a dinner show check
depending
on the service and quality of food.
Taxi
drivers expect $1 below $10, after $10, 15%. Limousine drivers receive 15-20%.
Tour guides receive $1 to $2 a person at the end of the trip. It is standard
for valet parkers to receive $1, sometimes $2 if the service is extra quick,
if you are a regular or receive special service then $3-$5.

Friday,
November 21, 1980 began in Las Vegas like any other but ended in a
different way. At about 7:05 a.m., a MGM employee discovered a swift
moving wall of blaze in the downstairs deli. The flames moved quickly
in to the casino that by the time the fire department arrived just a
few minutes later, the casino had flared over in a fireball of flames
but they did not kill most of the 85 victims. They bulk were killed up
in their hotel rooms by poisonous gases that were drawn up in the
smoke via the elevator shafts and spread through the ventilation
systems. It was the second worst hotel fire in the history of the
United States
