...For every human on earth who wants to find real happiness, joy and a more stress free and healthy life
… if we can’t accept, love and value ourselves,

 we are lost.

 

Each of us must be in our own company all of the time, no vacations or breaks... so we must try to grow continually to create in us a person with healthy self esteem, self love, confidence, healthy pride, assurance and self concept. We need to live in a body that's as stress free as we can make it, as healthy in body, mind and spirit as we can ...

You have probably heard the old saying that tells us that to be loved, you must love yourself 
 … well, it's true, however to know a logical and healthy saying and to follow it 
are two very different things. 

 

 

Most of us suffer from stress, poor self esteem, 
very little self worth and we put incredible demands and old guilt on ourselves
and then we carry them inside our very soul...

 


True happiness cannot be achieved
without self acceptance and self love
 - it cannot be achieved with guilt, shame, bitterness,
regret or continued practice of self hate...

 

Alright, it sounds good and logical but don't be fooled, it's not easy for anyone. Mentally ill and those who do not suffer from a mood disorder alike, cannot "find their way" to achieving what it takes to be self assured, happy and confident. Many cannot get past the masks of true feelings like hate, bitterness and fears... 

Why?

 

 

GUILT:

 
 
Are you burdensome to others? Are you too much for your parents to digest? Are your children suffering due to your illness? Do you have many regrets? Do you pray enough? Do you give enough? Do you do your best all of the time?

 

 

The list goes on

Mental Illness Doesn't Help
 
Many who suffer a mental illness (such as the mood disorder manic depression) 
live in a tough world due to their illness. 
Logic tells them that their illness is a medical one and of  some challenge and one that
cannot be simply walked away from...
but inside, they don't really believe it, sadly, they dismiss their illness and don't try to fight it, but rather internalize the poor esteem and negativities... logic is thrown out and being replaced with self hate.

 Mentally ill or not however, many find it difficult to give or feel
like we have been given a true gift to ourselves ... forgiveness 


 

The Roadblock of ...

ENVY:

 
Wish you were "normal?"   Wish you were happy liked? 
Successful like_____? Pretty or handsome like______? 
Rich or famous? rich? Better Body? Better Life? Better Parents? Smarter?

 

 

 

      We are not our illnesses. We are not broken. We are whole selves and we reflect a unique and special person… No one else could replace us! We belong. We were created for a reason, a purpose. We belong as anyone else alive today, we were chosen too.

 

 

GUILT. ENVY. SELF LOVE.


These are important. These are our priority issues. 
If we don’t conquer our poisonous thinking in their regard, why tackled any other issue at all?

How Do We Start?

 

Forgive yourself. Feel all that you hate in yourself and all that you do not forgive and all that you dislike about yourself… and what you may have done in the past. know the feelings and face them. Next, find out what lessons you can learn and how they can help you and others in life... learn from each of them. Learn their lessons, put them in the ‘good lesson in life learned’ file of your mind and see them in that positive file, a positive light, a learning experience that built character, strength, a more sound and wise mind… Let go, cry it out and love it for what it gave you - rather than stay with your for life and take from you...

 

Big step

 

Celebrate your wonderful, unique, splendid qualities. You know you have a bunch! Recall each of them, cherish them, and treat yourself because of them!

 

 

 

exercise, getting out and about and moving
 is not just for your health and body, but just in doing something positive
for yourself and good for yourself, your self confidence, esteem and pride will lift too

For everything positive, all your goals accomplished,
for all your growing; 
give yourself credit
                                   small feats  &
big ones .
Give to yourself daily.
                                     
Play daily.
 

Have an ice cream today!.

 

 

       Fix up your mistakes. Everyone makes em but only you beat yourself up and punish yourself over them
             Right?
                  Stop it!
 

We are all terrible mistake-ridden people…
We learn and grow more and more in that light too!
Fix those mistakes and rectify what you need to 
learn from them and then move on!
Never push back and deal with those which you are
aware of and need to change for to tomorrow, 
because you will continue to practice those feelings 
and hate yourself for them rather than grow and be happy.

 

 

      Do stuff for others.

Notice smiles. 

 

Make a stranger who is ‘grrrrr’ that’s passing by you in the supermarket… smile!

 

He will, & you will feel good & he will too.
 

Get it?

 

Practice!
Remember, this is the most important work, play, 
"you thing" you can do for yourself   - so do it now, do it daily. Practice makes learned. It may not feel real to be positive, give to yourself, accept compliments, be forgiven by yourself, accept yourself and our differences, be happy ----- it may feel as if we are going full force against our grain, but do it anyway. The more practiced the more learned and the more learned 
-- the more it becomes "us" normal and in fact, true!
